2. Back links - adding quality back links to your site is a good way to promote your site to the search engines.
3. Design - your site should always be designed with SEO in mind. There is no use for a beautiful site if nobody is going to ever find it. Remember flash might be fancy, fun, and exciting but spiders crawls words, not flash or images.
4. ALT tags - Don't stuff keywords in this area, however with the new IE, you might want to consider the title attribute instead.
